Travel Sketch Vlog : St Fagans Museum of History

I was happy to visit St Fagans Museum of History on 3 June 2022 again! Upon seeing Stryd Lydan Barn, a cruck and timber-framed barn, which dates from 1550, I decided to stay there to sketch this historic structure. I really liked the textured surfaces of the old wood. To capture the textures, I spent much time drawing the lines to depict the wood surfaces. I hope you enjoy my video!

England Sketch Tour 2016 英格蘭速寫之旅2016

I really enjoyed the Manchester symposium and the subsequent travel to a few English cities and villages and here I composed a little video with footages of different places I visited as well as some of my sketches I did on location. (in Cantonese)

Under the Traveller's Plants 旅人蕉下

The time lapse video shows how the sketch was done. First, the pencil sketch, then comes the lines using a 0.5 drawing pen. Next is the watercolour and finally strengthening the lines with the 0.5 drawing pen and the Zebra's "Sau Lai" pen.

首先用鉛筆打稿，接住用0.5繪圖筆鈎線，然後上水彩，最後再用0.5繪圖筆同秀麗筆加強線條。

Late Afternoon in a Bookshop Cafe 書室咖啡店內的下午

While waiting for my friends in this bookshop cafe,  I took out my sketch paper and sketched the scene in front of me.  It's great place to sketch people as most of them would just stay there for a long time, reading or working on their documents, making them good models to sketch.

After colouring the sketch, I decided to make a little fun video out of it.

約了朋友又早到成個鐘便拿出畫筆畫紙開始畫。Kubrick係一個好好畫人的地方，皆因好多人會長留此處，有人慢慢刨書，有人埋頭苦幹睇文件。
